Its hard to walk when your parents put you in three layers and boots that are two sizes too big.
Danny loves the snow. Loves to sniff it, eat it, jump in it, roll in it and frolic too.

Missing those sunny days

Henry started crawling about two weeks ago. He had been army crawling and getting around for awhile, but slowly. Then one day he saw a basketball across the room and shot out after it. So fast! It was like he had been crawling forever.

These pictures were taken on the only nice weekend we've had so far. Today, June 9th, it is hailing. Yes, hailing. So this is my therapy. Looking through pictures of sunnier times.

I couldn't choose between these pictures. We actually took like 20, so I really did limit myself a little. These were taken during our layover in the Minneapolis/St Paul airport on the way to Erin's graduation.

Aunt Erin's graduation from Veterinary School at Michigan State. Great job E! Four years of really hard work. You made it! Erin just got a job offer from the Humane Society of Detroit- so she may be on "Animal Cops Detroit."

Henry Weeks 3 thru 6

A visit to Grandpa Clayton and Grandma Jean's. Henry got to meet Aunt Natalie and Uncle Nick. He met Uncle Chris when he was a day old. He has yet to meet Aunts Erin, Heidi, Emily and Great Grandma Molly.

Shortly after we brought Henry home, Mike discovered that when nothing else can soothe him, music will do the trick. He has a few favorite songs- all of them Mike played incessantly while I was pregnant. We know he recognizes them because he smiles when we play them. Reggae is his favorite. By the end of each day, we've probably each danced with him for at least an hour.

Mike and Henry's best Dr. Evil impressions. Goin' on a walk with Dad. Henry loves going on walks. Danny likes this about Henry.

5 weeks- Henry starts smiling. And he's learning to like kisses.

Eating, one of his favorite pastimes. As evidenced by his weight (13 lbs 4 oz at 6 1/2 weeks).

Huge belly housing an 8 lb 11 oz boy who will be born 6 days after these pictures were taken. I look super pleased, because I am (sense the sarcasm). Nothing fit and I was waking up every night with contractions. He was definitely worth it though.

Been in labor for 36 hours.

Henry and Tripp's first time hanging out. Tripp is the son of Mike and Melissa. He was born June 30th and has been awaiting Henry's arrival. If their dads have it their way, as soon as they can walk, they will be playing basketball together. Right now they're pretty much just concerned with eating.

Splashin' around. Danny tries to step on the surface of the water. Everytime. This creates a lot of splashes.

We're hoping Danny's genetics start kicking in. Poodles were originally bred for water retrieving. And Golden Retrievers are great swimmers. Maybe something got confused because he's a hybrid. :)
